AEO for SaaS

Get your SaaS named when buyers ask ChatGPT and Google which tool to use

AI answers hand buyers a short list of tools. We build the pages those answers quote, get you into the roundups and threads they draw on, and count the signups that follow.

It’s part of the Signup Engine, our $5,000-a-month program with a signup guarantee.

Where our clients show up in AI answers

Google search for 'process street alternatives'. The AI Overview says: for simple Standard Operating Procedures, try SweetProcess, then names Scribe, ClickUp and Pipefy.

SweetProcess, named first in Google’s AI answer for “process street alternatives”

“Process Street alternatives” was one of the searches we built SweetProcess pages for. When a buyer runs it, Google’s AI Overview recommends SweetProcess first, ahead of Scribe, ClickUp and Pipefy.

Organic search brought SweetProcess more than 1,000 signups a month from October 2024 to April 2026.

“Shehu pushed us to start tracking conversions from organic search, and to target people who are evaluating SOP software, not just researching general topics. That shift changed everything. Organic search now consistently delivers over 1,000 signups a month, and we’re even seeing new customers who found us through AI tools like ChatGPT.”

What SaaS teams tell us about AI search

Your competitors get named. You don’t.

A buyer asks ChatGPT for a tool like yours and gets a list of three or four. If you’re not on it, you’re out before they’ve seen your site.

AI gets your product wrong.

It lists an old price, misses a feature, or calls you the basic option. You won’t see it unless you ask the questions your buyers ask.

The roundups leave you out.

AI answers lean on best-of lists, review sites and Reddit threads. When those sources name your rivals, so does the answer.

Your dashboard only reports the problem.

AI visibility tools show where you’re missing. Someone still has to write the pages and earn the mentions.

How AI answers pick a tool

When someone asks ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini or Google which tool to use, the answer is built from pages it can find and trust. Two kinds matter most.

Pages that answer the question directly

Alternatives, comparison and best-of pages that say plainly who each tool is for. AI answers often quote the pages that already rank on Google for the same search.

What other sources say about you

Roundups, review sites and community threads written by people other than you. When several of them agree on a tool, AI answers tend to name it.

So the work has two halves: your own pages, and what others say about you. We do both, every month.

The pages we build

Each page targets a search buyers run while choosing a tool. Each one is written by someone who has used your product.

Alternatives

“Process Street alternatives”

For buyers who want to leave a competitor and are looking for where to go next.

Best-of

“best SOP software”

The category roundups AI answers quote when someone asks for a short list.

You vs a competitor

“SweetProcess vs Process Street”

For buyers down to two tools. A fair comparison that says who each one suits.

Competitor vs competitor

“Asana vs Monday”

People comparing two of your rivals are in your market. The page shows them a third option.

Pricing

“Trainual pricing”

Buyers checking a rival’s price are close to choosing. The page answers the question and shows how you compare.

Review

“Process Street review”

For buyers reading verdicts before they commit.

What makes a page easy for AI answers to quote

  • A direct answer in the first lines, before the detail
  • Comparison tables with current prices and features
  • FAQs that match the questions buyers ask ChatGPT
  • The same facts on your site, profiles and listings, so AI doesn’t mix them up
  • Titles, internal links and schema on every page we touch

Getting named in the places AI answers quote

Your own pages are half of it. The rest is what others say about you.

Community answers

Disclosed answers in the Reddit threads and communities AI answers quote. We say who we are and answer the question properly.

Roundups and best-of lists

We pitch your product to the people who write the roundups your buyers’ AI answers draw on.

A linkable asset each quarter

An original stats page or data study about your category, built to earn links and AI citations, with outreach every month.

Here’s one we made for ourselves: our AEO statistics page.

How we check where you show up

In week 2 we take a baseline: 25 questions your buyers ask, run across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Google’s AI Overviews. We note who gets named, in what order, and what the answer says about you.

Then we run the same 25 every month. Your monthly report shows the answers that now name you, the ones that still don’t, and what we’re doing about them. When an answer gets your product wrong, we fix the sources it learns from: your site, your profiles and your listings.

AI answers change from one ask to the next, so we watch the pattern across all 25 questions over months. One answer on one day tells you little.

Why we count signups

A mention in an AI answer is a step. What you want is the buyer who signs up afterwards. So our guarantee counts signups from the pages we build, whether the visit came from Google or an AI assistant.

The guarantee

By month six, the signups we bring you from AI search will be worth at least $5,000 a month. If not, we keep working for free.

Not happy with your first month? Tell us within 30 days and you get that month’s fee back, on any plan. You keep the work, and the plan ends there.

We only offer the guarantee when our forecast for your pages is at least twice your number. If it isn’t, we’ll tell you on the call. I take on three new clients a quarter.

How it works

  1. 1
We set your number together. In month one, from your own figures: how many signups become paying customers, and what a customer pays in their first year. That tells us how many signups a month are worth $5,000 to you.
  2. 2
We count it in your analytics. Signups from people whose visit started on a page we built, from Google or an AI assistant. Every monthly report shows the count.
  3. 3
At month six: the number is there, or we keep working for free. If your number isn’t there by month six, we keep working without a fee until it is, for up to three months. You keep everything we build.

What you get

There’s no month-long strategy phase. Setup and live pages happen side by side.

Month one: the work starts in week one

  1. Week 1

Kickoff and a walkthrough of your product, then we create an account and use it ourselves. Signup tracking set up and checked in your analytics. A review of the comparisons buyers run and who wins them today.

  2. Week 2

A baseline of where you show up on Google, and what ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Google’s AI Overviews say, for 25 of your buyers’ questions. A technical check (indexing, crawl errors, speed, structured data), with fixes listed for your developer. Your first refreshes go live.

  3. Weeks 3 and 4

Your first 2 new pages go live. From month two, it’s 4 a month.

  4. By day 30

Your 90-day plan ranked by likely signups, your forecast, and the signup number sheet we both sign.

Every month

Content

  • 4 new pages: alternatives, comparison (“you vs a competitor”), best-of and use-case pages. Each one is written by someone who has used your product.
  • 2 of your existing pages refreshed: current facts, clearer structure, a stronger next step.
  • Briefs, editing, and revisions until it’s right.
  • Publishing in your CMS, if you give us access.

On-page and technical

  • Internal links, titles, meta descriptions and schema on every page we touch.
  • Pages shaped so AI answers can quote them: direct answers, comparison tables, FAQs.
  • A check on the pages we work on, with any fixes listed for your developer.

AI search

  • 25 buyer questions checked across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Google’s AI Overviews: who gets named, and whether it’s you.
  • Fixing what AI gets wrong about your product, by making your site, profiles and listings say the same thing.
  • Disclosed answers in the Reddit threads and communities AI answers quote.

Links and authority

  • One linkable asset a quarter: an original stats page or data study about your category, built to earn links and AI citations.
  • Outreach every month to earn links to that asset and to your key pages.
  • Pitching you into the roundups and “best of” lists your buyers’ AI answers quote.

Reporting and access

  • A monthly report: your signup count against your number, pages shipped, rankings, the AI answers that now name you, and what’s next.
  • A monthly strategy call with me, and weekly written updates in between.
  • Me on your account, every month.

Not included: paid ads, social media, website design or development work, and anything outside SEO and AI search.

Work out your signup number

Answer two questions about your product. You’ll see how many signups a month would be worth $5,000 to you. That’s the number we’d guarantee by month six.

Rough is fine. Count trials or free signups, whichever you have.

Your average price. Pick a month or a year.

Leave it blank if you don't run ads.

Fill in the first two questions to see your number.

Questions about AEO

Can content get our SaaS recommended by ChatGPT?

It has for our clients. Google’s AI Overview names SweetProcess first for “process street alternatives”, and a SweetProcess customer told them they found the product through ChatGPT. AI answers draw on pages that answer the buyer’s question clearly, and on what other sources say. We work on both.

Can you guarantee ChatGPT will name us?

No, and be careful with anyone who does. AI answers change from one ask to the next. We guarantee what those mentions are for: signups. We still check your buyers’ questions every month so you can see what’s changing.

Is AEO different from SEO?

AEO (answer engine optimization) means getting your product named in AI answers. It overlaps with SEO a lot, because the pages that rank on Google are often the ones AI answers quote. The extra work is in how pages are written, in what other sites say about you, and in checking the answers themselves. We run it as one program because your buyers use both.

Which AI tools do you check?

ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Google’s AI Overviews, for 25 of your buyers’ questions, every month.

How long does it take?

Pages start going live in your first month. Search takes longer: early movement in 60 to 90 days, bigger results in 3 to 6 months. That’s why the guarantee is checked at month six.

Do you sell an AI visibility audit?

Not as a separate product. Before our call, I check where you show up on Google and in ChatGPT for the searches your buyers run, and I walk you through it on the call.
